Solice is a one-person studio that designs and builds marketing websites in Framer. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Cade McNelly, a sole proprietor operating as Solice. You can reach a real person at hello@solice.studio.
These terms govern your use of this website. If you engage us to build something, that work is governed by the written proposal we send you. Where the proposal and these terms disagree, the proposal wins.
Three tiers: Standard, Pro and Premium. The prices shown on this site are in Canadian dollars and are a starting point, not a quote. What a build actually includes is fixed in the proposal for that project, and nothing is agreed until both sides have accepted it in writing.
Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date we send them.
A 50% non-refundable deposit books your start date, and work begins once it clears. The remaining 50% is due before the site is published or handed over. Invoices are due within 14 days. Prices are in Canadian dollars, plus applicable taxes.
Copy, images, brand assets, logins and timely feedback. We will tell you what is needed and when.
If those things arrive late, the delivery date moves by at least the same amount. We will not compress the quality of the work to absorb a delay that was not ours.
Each build includes consolidated rounds of revisions against the agreed scope: 2 on Standard, 4 on Pro and 6 on Premium. A round is one set of feedback, gathered together and sent at once. Extra rounds are quoted in writing before we start on them.
Reworking something we already built to your written approval, or adding pages, sections or features that were not in the proposal, is a change of scope. We will quote it before doing it, never after.
On final payment the Framer project is transferred to you. It is yours, and you can edit it yourself or hand it to someone else.
You own your content and the site we deliver. We keep ownership of our own methods, reusable code components and internal tooling, and license you to use them as part of your site. Unless you ask us not to, we may show the finished work in our portfolio.
Your site runs on Framer and depends on their platform, hosting and uptime.
Fonts, stock imagery, embeds and any third-party service carry their own licences and terms. Imagery used in our own demonstration builds is licensed to us and does not transfer with a project.
Anything you share with us that is not already public, we keep to ourselves, and we expect the same in return. This continues to apply after an engagement ends.
We will build what the proposal describes, with reasonable skill and care. Beyond that, the site is provided as it is.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost revenue or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you have paid us for the project that claim relates to.
We do not promise any particular search ranking, traffic or sales result, or that the site will run without interruption, since hosting and uptime sit with Framer. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Ontario.
Either side can end an engagement by giving 14 days’ written notice. The deposit is non-refundable, and any work completed beyond what the deposit covers is invoiced.
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you engage us is the version that applies to that engagement.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
Anything here you want explained, email hello@solice.studio.
