Who we are

Who we are

Solice is a one-person studio. In this policy, “we” means Cade McNelly, a sole proprietor operating as Solice. If you want anything here explained or acted on, email hello@solice.studio and a person will read it.

What we collect

What we collect

From the contact form: your name, your email address, your business, your current site, and what you need. All five are required, so the form will not send without them.

If you email us directly instead, we have whatever you chose to put in that email.

Like any website, ours also receives the basic technical information your browser sends, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the page that referred you.

Why we collect it

Why we collect it

To read your enquiry, reply to it, and prepare a quote if there is one to prepare. That is the entire list.

We do not sell it, we do not rent it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for.

Where it goes

Where it goes

This site is built and hosted on Framer. Form submissions are received, processed and stored by Framer on our behalf, and are subject to Framer’s own privacy terms as well as this policy.

We use Framer Analytics, which is built into Framer. It counts page views and clicks, and records the referring site, device and browser type, language and country, so we can see how the site is used. Framer also serves this site’s fonts, and the live previews on the Home and Work pages load other sites we have built, which are hosted on Framer too. If you email us, that email is handled by our email provider.

Cookies

Cookies

We have not added any cookies, advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts to this site, and the site does not set cookies of its own. The only analytics is Framer’s, described above.

How long we keep it

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a project are kept so there is a record of the conversation, then deleted within 24 months.

Records tied to a paid project, including invoices, are kept for 7 years after the work ends, because Canadian tax rules require business records to be kept for at least six.

Your rights

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@solice.studio and we will action it within 30 days.

If you are in Canada, PIPEDA applies. If you are in the UK or the EU, the UK GDPR or the GDPR applies, and you also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.

Children

Children

This site is aimed at businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
